untitled-oct8_09-45-20
Pseudolarix amabilis

Pseudolarix amabilis, often called the golden larch, is not a true larch at all, but is still a beautiful tree in its own right. The only species in its genus, it is a long-lived deciduous conifer. Seldom available in the trade, it is a rich green color throughout the growing season, changing to a beautiful golden shade in the fall before dropping its needles for the winter and exposing an interesting branch structure. Also of note is its unique artichoke-like cone. These specimens are in 6” pots and are two years old. These have grown well for us here in central Virginia, and are known to do well throughout the Southeast, growing slower in cooler regions.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0725/4923/6854/files/67EC5E85-DC42-4C2C-B6F3-C6CEFBB9BFBB.jpg?v=1791467435
